Safe Net Zero 2021 - Hydrogen

  • HSE Online Event Harpur Hill, Buxton United Kingdom (map)

As part of their Safety Excellence in Energy series, HSE is running the Safe NetZero 2021 – Hydrogen conference on 2-4 March 2021 as an online event, and is free to attend.

Safe Net Zero 2021 – Hydrogen is an online conference, running over 3 consecutive mornings and looking at the evolving work that is helping to deploy hydrogen as an energy vector as part of the UK's commitment to reduce carbon emissions and become 'net zero' by 2050. As you'd expect from HSE, 'Safe Net Zero 2021 - Hydrogen' will pay particular attention to safety, with an agenda focusing on three key themes:

-        Tuesday 2nd March (morning) - Policies, Standards and Skills

-        Wednesday 3rd March (morning) - Foundations and Infrastructure

-        Thursday 4th March (morning) - Advances in Use and Applications

This is the third conference in the 'Future of Gas' series which included Future of Gas 1 in Feb 2018 and Future of Gas 2 in Feb 2019. This conference has been renamed to reflect the pace of change within the industry and the fact that the deployment of many projects and demonstrations is no longer a thing of the future.

Safe Net Zero 2021 - Hydrogen will be of particular interest to:

-         Directors of Gas Suppliers, Distributors, End Users, Equipment Manufacturers and Researchers

-         Energy Sector Representatives responsible for Innovation, R&D, Health and Safety, Sustainability and Green Technologies

-         Academics and Consultants

-         Risk Management Professionals

-         Process Safety Engineers

-         Senior Gas Engineers who will be affected by the impact of changes in the energy sector

The 2021 online event will be opened by Sarah Newton, chair of HSE, who will be joined by a host of additional speakers.
